Sting is back in Hungary - The 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist returned to our capital with a special show, where he gave a concert at the Budapest Arena with an amazing rock band.

The name Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner probably doesn't mean anything to many, but if we say Sting, everyone immediately knows who he is. He got his nickname, which means sting in Hungarian, from bandleader Gordon Solomon during his time with the Phoenix Jazzmen, because he once took the stage in a black and yellow striped sweater at one of their performances. The English musician, singer-songwriter, activist, and actor, born in 1951, has had a huge career with his band Police and as a solo artist, selling more than a hundred million records so far. He last visited our country in 2022, when the audience could see him at the Főnix Arena in Debrecen. Sting, now continuing his 2024 world tour, performed at the Budapest Arena on Friday night to great success.

He brought the Hungarian audience the best songs of his wonderful career, as evidenced by the setlist of the party: Voices Inside My Head, Synchronicity II, Message in a Bottle, If I Ever Lose My Faith in You, Fields of Gold, Wrote your Name, Never Coming Home, Mad About You, When the Angels Fall, Driven to Tears, When We Dance, Fortress Around Your Heart, Englishman in New York, Can't Stand Losing You / Reggatta de Blanc, Shape of My Heart, Walking on the Moon, So Lonely, Desert Rose, King of Pain, Every Breath You Take, Roxanne and Fragile - all catchy global hits.
